Will Gee took his second title of the Easter break at Parklangley this week. Will was in a draw with 24 other 8U players where they were arranged in boxes. He successfully won through this stage to reach the main draw where he met Clay Watson in the final. Both boys played some great tennis with Will just winning through to take the title 10-8.
Oliver Richards also played well to reach the semi final in the 10U event where he met Harry Edgeler. Although Ollie continued to work hard Harry’s strength and size just gave him the edge and after a long tough match Ollie just lost out 2-4, 3-5.
Over in Sutton James Davis was having a successful week in their Grade 2 Easter tournament. James the 15th seed in a draw of 64 successfully played through to reach the semi finals where he met the second seed Jack Macfarlane. It was a very close match and both boys deceived to win but in the end Jack managed to pull ahead to win his place in the final 7-5, 7-6(10).
Meanwhile at Knoll Jamie Wallace was competing in the 16U draw where he comfortably reached the semi finals only to get knocked out by Cameron Shah the number 1 seed 7-5, 6-3. Later in the week Will was competing once again. This time he finished runner up to Maksim Balas after another good final
We’d like to say well done to all our players who have competed over the Easter period but particularly to Will who has reach four finals in two weeks. A great achievement for any player!
