December 2013 - Spanish New Year at The Appeti Tennis School!

Our Appeti Tennis School Youngsters were introduced to ‘Las doce uvas de la suerte’, "The twelve grapes of luck" by Judit their spanish teacher. This Spanish New Year tradition is practiced by Rafa every year and proved to be fun but tricky!
The tradition dates back to at least 1895 and consists of participants eating a grape with each bell strike at Midnight on December 31st. If completed successfully it is supposed to lead to a year of prosperity.
